Covering the Peak District, Cheshire, Staffs and sometimes further afield, we have a selection of walks to suit all abilities.

Non-members are welcome to ‘try us out’ on a couple of day walks before deciding to join, but we ask you to check with the leader first. Click on the leader’s name to send an email. Where no email address is given use the contact form and we will put you in touch. You will need to bring a packed lunch with you unless otherwise stated.

Saturday 9 MarchTHREE SHIRES HEADLeader: Sonia
Walking from the layby opposite the Cat & Fiddle pub on A537 Macclesfield to Buxton road, GR 001719. Route covers Cumberland Brook, Wildboarclough, Three Shires Head and Danebower Hollow. Peak View Tearoom afterwards. Meet 10.15 for a 10.30 start. Approx. 9-10 miles moderate.
Saturday 16 March PRESTWICH TO RADCLIFFE LINEARLeader: Dave
Meet at Prestwich station at 10:15 for a 10:30 prompt start. Walk to Radcliffe, return by tram. Approx 8 miles. Moderate.
Saturday 23 MarchPAUL’S MONSAL HEAD WALKLeader: Julian
Led by Julian in memory of Paul. A 12 mile moderate walk, going via Monsal Dale and Deep Dale. Visiting Magpie Mine on route. Returning via Ashford and the Monsal Trail. Meet at Monsal Head for a 10:30 start.

Meet at Cheddleton train station for a 10:30 start. Easter themed walk visiting the Butter Cross, the Egg Well and the Bunny Run. 10-12 miles.
Saturday 6 AprilCURBAR EDGE, GRINDLEFORD, FROGGAT AND CALVERLeader: Barbara
9.4 miles and 1200 ft of ascent. Meet at 10.15 for a prompt 10.30 start at Baslow Nether End. Pay and display car park or possibly some roadside parking.

An 11 mile walk via Lose Hill Holllins Cross, Mam Tor, Castleton, Brough and Aston. Teashop at the end. Starting point will be Hope Car Park. Start time 10.30. Level – Moderate (1,928 feet of ascent).

Meet at Taxal Layby off A5004 (just outside Whaley Bridge) 10.30am (Prompt Start). Slow paced walk. Moderate. 10.5 miles. Route: Taxal-Overton Hall Farm-Oldgate Nick-Shining Tor-Erwood Reservoir-Fernilee Reservoir-Taxal. Café stop at end of walk in Whaley Bridge.
