Who we are

Footprints Walking Club is an unincorporated club, and holds and processes personal information only for the purposes specified in para 2(2)g of the Schedule to The Data Protection (Charges and Information) Regulations 2018 (SI 2018/480). It is therefore exempt from the need to register under the Data Protection Act 2018. Nevertheless, the club is required by law to comply with the Information Assurance requirements of the Act and is subject to the General Data Protection Regulation. Any queries relating to this legislation should be directed to the Webmaster.

Personal Information

Our site has a form allowing you to contact us to request more information about the club. To help us to answer your question we ask you to supply your name, email address and area. You are under no obligation to provide such information. However, if you should choose to withhold it we may not be able to contact you to provide answers to your enquiry.

Any information you provide is used only to create an email to our Publicity Officer, no data is held on the website.

Cookies

Our website uses the WordPress Content Management System, which places cookies on your device to deliver our website content. The majority of these cookies are ‘session cookies’ which means that they are deleted when you close your browser. No cookies carry personally identifiable information, and none are accessible to anywhere other than the server hosting our website.

Who we share your data with

We do not share any information collected through this site.

How long we retain your data

The Footprints website collects such information as the IP address (location of your computer on the Internet) and what pages were accessed. Monitoring traffic helps Footprints determine the activity on our website and which pages are most popular, and allows us to develop and improve our services online and also check for abuse or ‘hacking’ attempts. Logs are automatically deleted after 31 days.
