Looking for a walk in your local area? You’ll find details of our forthcoming walks on this page as well as a link to the last 12 months' programme so you can see what you've missed!

Non-members are welcome to ’try us out’ on a couple of day walks before deciding to join, but we ask you to check with the leader first. Click on the leader’s name to send an email. Where no email address is given use the contact form and we will put you in touch.

Where a walk involves public transport it is advisable to check the train or bus times beforehand. A packed lunch will be needed unless stated otherwise.

Walk leaders must carry out a written risk assessment and return it to the Secretary. This is required as part of the conditions of our insurance. The risk assessment form can be found here (PDF) or here (MS Office).

Saturday 17 SeptemberBIRCHINGTON TO WHITSTABLE, KENTLeader: Chris
A 13 mile linear walk from Birchington to Whitstable following the Thanet Coastal Path and Saxon Shore Way, passing Reculver Towers and Roman Fort. Packed lunch.
Meet 11.20 Birchington-on-Sea Station (09.40 from London Victoria, arrive 11.16, or 09.25 from London St. Pancras, arrive 10.54). Return from Whitstable Station.

An 11 mile rural walk (despite being within London Travelcard Zone 6) taking in the village of Downe and walking past Down House, the home of Charles Darwin. Please contact the leaders for lunch details.
Meet 10.50 Knockholt Station (10.04 from London Charing Cross, arrive 10.49).
