Local Walks In Cheshire
Looking for a walk in your local area? You’ll find details of our forthcoming walks on this page as well as a link to the last 12 months' programme so you can see what you've missed!
Non-members are welcome to ’try us out’ on a couple of day walks before deciding to join, but we ask you to check with the leader first. Click on the leader’s name to send an email. Where no email address is given use the contact form and we will put you in touch.

Where a walk involves public transport it is advisable to check the train or bus times beforehand. A packed lunch will be needed unless stated otherwise.UPDATED 22nd September. While there are now no legal restrictions on our activities, we need to follow the Ramblers guidance as part of our insurance conditions. The following rules therefore apply to group walks:
- There is no limit on group size, but the maximum number on the walk is at the discretion of the walk leader.
- The group leader must carry out a written risk assessment which must be sent to the Secretary no later than the Thursday before the walk. If a risk assessment is not completed for a walk, then the walk is not an official Footprints walk as we would not be covered by our 3rd party insurance.
- Members are recommended to pre-book for walks so the leader knows you are coming. The list of names and contact details must be kept by the leader for 21 days in case any contact tracing is needed
