Saturday 22 February 2020ERWOOD VALLEY AND SHINING TORLeader: Julian
A 10 mile moderate walk alongside Fernilee and Erwood reservoirs, then climbing the ridge to Cats Tor and Shining Tor - the highest point in Cheshire. Tea shop at the end. Meet 10:15 for a 10:30 start in the lay-by opposite the Cat & Fiddle pub on the A537 between Buxton & Macclesfield.
Saturday 4 July 2020DANEBRIDGE AND THE ROACHESLeader: Sonia
Walking from the Winkle Brewery, Danebridge. Park by the side of the road near the bridge (SK11 0QE, GR965651). Route covers Danebridge, Gradbach Wood and Goldsditch, with a possible stop at the Roaches Tearoom if they are open for takeaways. Then back over the Roaches, following the ridge back to Danebridge. Likely ice cream stop at Roach End. Meet 10.15 for a 10.30 start. Approx. 11 miles moderate. The brewery shop will be open from 10am for pre-walk beer supplies or coffee, but will be closed by the time we get back.
