|Meet at Stoops Bridge Car park near Abbeystead, Lancashire, about 15 minutes of the M6. SD 56398 54321, at 10:15.|
This walk will take in some of the Wyre way, Tarnsyke Clough, Ward Stones, Grit fell and Jubiliee Tower. It is about 12 miles with 550m of ascent. There is a possibility of a meal afterwards in The Fleece in in Dolphinholme, let me know if you are interested a week before the walk, and I will see if I need to book.

|Meet at Leigh Bus Station V1 stop for 10:30 start. Easy walk of approx. 8 miles via Gin Pit mining community to Astley Village and a visit to Lancashire mining museum https://lancashireminingmuseum.org/ (last surviving pit head in Lancashire, voluntary contribution of £1.50 will get a tour). Return to Leigh via the Bridgewater canal. Phone to check latest bus information nearer the time. Drink /possible meal in Leigh at the end. Option to catch the V1 from St. Peter’s Square to Leigh at 9:28.|
