Meet 09.30 at the Albany Lions Hotel on the sea front, about 100m from the pier. Return by bus.

Walk starts from Sandown Station at 11.10 (08.06 from London Victoria to Portsmouth Harbour, arrive 10.04. Then ferry Portsmouth Harbour 10.15 to Ryde Pier Head arrive 10.37, train Ryde Pier Head 10.49 to Sandown arrive 11.07). Return from Ryde.

An old favourite walk along the crest of the Wiltshire Downs but in the opposite direction for a change. Packed lunch (unfortunately, the Swan at Lower Green closed last year). Possible drink or meal at end in Kintbury.|
